Catoptica does not identify the source of an output. It is up to you to pay attention to your surroundings and increase your pattern recognition skills. Outputs may appear to interpret a vibe symbolically, literally, and metaphorically. Not all outputs will appear to be relevant to your explorations, and some won't appear to make sense without further contextual awareness.
Can I use Catoptica to make important decisions about people or animals?
