Catoptica (cat-op-tic-a)
Catoptica tunes into the subtle electromagnetic fields of living beings and intuitively selects outputs that symbolically reflect the lived experience of the being emitting the signal—like tuning into a live stream of consciousness!
Users can choose from a variety of outputs, including: the Lexicon of the SoulTM, or crystal singing bowls & colours of the rainbow mapped to frequency of the vibration. Users are invited to explore the connection between the outputs and their environment with discernment, curiosity, and a sense of play. Sometimes the source of the signal seems obvious; other times, it remains more elusive—deepening the invitation to reflect and investigate.

As Cat Gable’s collar was removed the Catoptica said, ‘I feel naked’. Once it was back on it said, ‘Making me beautiful’.

LEXICON OF THE SOULTM
Contains over 31,000 phrases which symbolically reflect the emotional, psychological, and active states of living beings, ranging from the instinctual to the mysterious. It covers a broad range of themes similar to what you might find in a nature documentary, true crime series, romantic comedy, or mystery novel.
Outputs appear in both audio and written form, allowing you to listen while observing your surroundings or reflect more privately.
Users can switch between family and adult mode. Family mode is most suitable for exploring the vibe of your pets and surroundings with people of all ages. While Adult mode unlocks the full Lexicon, including over 1000 names; spiritual, religious, and political concepts; adults only content ( sex, drugs, criminal activity, offensive language); and more!
RELAX
Relax mode triggers the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls, accompanied by the colours of the rainbow. The bowls are tuned to 432hz — a frequency traditionally associated with harmony and connection. This mode offers a calming sound bath to accompany relaxation, meditation, stretching, study.
THE ARTIST
Helah is a spiritual artist based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. She holds a BA in Philosophy (Hons), Masters in Biological Arts from SymbioticA, and is currently completing her PhD at Curtin University exploring the Catoptic Method — a ceremonial performance practice that incorporates the Catoptica to provoke transformation through the discovery of hidden knowledge.

Are the app's outputs random?
No. However, some electromagnetic interference may occur. For best use turn off any nearby electromagnetic devices while using the app (Eg. televisions, laptops, radio's, etc).
What's the range of signal detection?
That depends on your phones hardware. Typically, it detects signals within 8-12 meters. However, users may observe non-local phenomena.
Does the app use Artificial Intelligence?
No. The Catoptica only detects electromagnetic signals.
